E3 2011 Standouts: Bastion

The crew over at SuperGiant Games already had me hooked to Bastion back when it was in it’s earliest stages. Their defining characteristic for Bastion is the narrator that speaks of almost every task you do in the game. From what I’ve seen, it’s a very cool feeling to have this mysterious man make all your actions sound more heroic. The art is a whole other story: just look at their artist, Jen Zee’s work, it’s fantastic. The visuals are so very vibrant and stylish, it puts other games to shame. Bastion is sure to please, and I’m highly anticipating it.

Bastion is part of the XBLA Summer of Arcade 2011.
